A man was detained without incident by the Los Angeles Police Department earlier today after crashing his car through the gates of Jennifer Aniston’s Bel Air mansion Monday afternoon, Deadline confirmed with an LAPD spokesperson.

Per multiple reports, Aniston was home when the crash took place, though was not injured.

A public information officer with the LAPD shared that further details would be available later tonight or possibly tomorrow.

At 12:20 p.m., a burglary suspect, described as a white male in his 70s, crashed his vehicle through the gates of a private residence in the 900 block of Airole Way. He was restrained by private security until LAPD arrived at the scene; TMZ said the driver was held at gunpoint and had to be examined by first responders following the crash, as he complained of pain.

In the aftermath, KTLA reported that there was noticeable damage to the front gate of the residence, with the retractable arm broken off behind the gate. Meanwhile, Sky5 overhead depicted the gate being opened and closed manually.

According to reporting by KABC, the man will be booked for felony vandalism for the damage caused. However, the investigation into the incident is ongoing, with officials looking into the suspect’s background and criminal history. As yet, nothing indicates he was targeting The Morning Show actress.

Designed by prolific modern architect A. Quincy Jones, renovated in 1965 by Frederick Fisher and later redone by the Friends alumna and ex-husband Justin Theroux, the 8,500 square-foot property was purchased for just under $21 million in the early 2010s. It sits on a 3.4 acre lot, per property records reviewed by the Los Angeles Times.
