After celebrating Hollywood with the Oscars, Good Morning America continued its annual tradition of making movie magic for the GMA Oscars After Party.

Each year, the ABC daytime hosts pay tribute to a film going in front of a green screen and placing them in the movie for the show’s opener.

For their 2025 tribute, the Jon M. Chu-directed movie Wicked was chosen. Robin Roberts defied gravity taking on the role of Elphaba.

Lara Spencer stood in for Glinda, showing us her best hair toss. Michael Strahan had fun changing his voice to sound like Oz, with George Stephanopoulos and meteorologist Ginger Zee also appearing.

“For more than a decade, we’ve gone all-in recreating scenes from Hollywood’s standout films of the year with our GMA anchors and family,” said Simone Swink, senior executive producer of ABC’s Good Morning America. “It’s our way to celebrate the silver screen during our big Oscars After Party the morning after. Over the years, we’ve paid tribute to Top Gun, Barbie, Life of Pi and more. This year, the team is bringing viewers an homage to Wicked — and we hope it’s ‘popular!’”

Wicked received some awards at the Oscars, such as Best Production Design and Best Costume Design. Paul Tazewell made Academy Awards history by becoming the first Black man to win the trophy for costume design.
