President Joe Biden delivered his farewell address from the White House this week, just days before President-elect Donald Trump will be inaugurated into his second term in office. But Jimmy Kimmel joked on Live that he could barely pay attention to Biden’s “stern” speech, noting, “It was hard for me to think about anything other the fact that in four days, Donald Trump will  be sleep-farting behind that same desk with a drawer full of dipping sauces at the ready.”

The late night host roasted President Biden one last time during Thursday’s (Jan. 16) episode as Biden prepared to step down from the White House in just days.

“The speech was 18 minutes long which is also the amount of time it takes him to pee,” Kimmel joked.

He described the farewell address as being “more like a stern talking-to.” As Kimmel explained it, Biden mainly touched on “threats to democracy, including the decline of American journalism, the dangerous seeds of oligarchy, where too much power and influence is in the hands of a wealthy few.”

But the speech ultimately amounted to this, Kimmel said: “Basically his message was I’m getting the hell out of here, you probably should, too.”

Kimmel also noted that the president will be leaving office the lowest approval rating of his term – 36%.

“The good news is he won’t remember any of it,” he joked.

Trump is set to be inaugurated Monday, Jan. 20, into his second term as president. Kimmel made sure to roast the president-to-be about one interesting detail about Inauguration Day: Flags at the Capitol will be raised to full-staff despite the recent death of President Jimmy Carter.

Kimmel called Trump out on throwing a “tantrum” over the fact that the flags were meant to be lowered to half-staff to honor the late President Carter for 30 days after his death, as is tradition.

“Trump threw such a tantrum about it, Speaker Mike Johnson ordered all U.S. flags in the Capitol to fly at full-staff on inauguration day for Donald Trump,” Kimmel said on a recent episode of Live. “Which might be the most Donald Trump-y thing Donald Trump has ever done, to be mad that a guy who just died is getting all the attention.”

He added, “The other reason they raised the flag is they’re worried if they’re too low, he may molest them again,” before sharing several photos of Trump embracing flags.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
