It Ends With…Chaps? It Ends With Us star Blake Lively wore a half-dozen looks in a single day (Monday, August 5) to promote her new movie, and they were all in some way floral, to fit with her character’s florist character.
But after a press tour full of feminine flowery looks, we were surprised to see that her final fit of the night was…leather chaps! A bit late to the Cowboy Carter era, but that’s no prob. They do technically have flowers on them. Or maybe weeds. I’m not going to look up what dandelions are classifies as, but Lively looks nice, pairing the chaps-style jeans from Stella McCartney with a shiny red-brown bodysuit and an oversized cardigan, accessorizing with gold earrings.
Can’t stress enough that this is the same day she wore this Business Barbie suit, and yes, of course the polka dots are tiny daisies and the handbag appears to be one of the iconic Chanel white flowers. Look at the matching shoes, just look at them.
And also the same day she went braless in a leather jacket and lorts (leather shorts). If you think it’s too on-the-nose, remember that her character is not only the proprietress of a flower shop, but literally named Lily Bloom. It’s supposed to be obvious. That’s kinda the whole point, and Lively’s leaning in. The textured floral manicure? This girl is going above, beyond, back down, around, and then above again.

Her husband Ryan Reynolds, meanwhile, is also doing The Most, and interviewed her co-star Brandon Sklenar about what it was like to work with Blake Lively, and also, if Brandon was interested in being Ryan’s new dad or replacing Hugh Jackman as his best friend.
