A sports car owner is lucky to have escaped unscathed after a massive pick-up truck somehow landed on the roof of their Corvette in Colorado Monday.
The bizarre crash happened around 9:30 p.m. at a desolate intersection in Thorton, a community just 18 miles north of Denver, the fire department said.
Photos show the black Chevrolet Silverado balanced on the roof of the bright orange sports car, with one of its front wheels smashed onto the driver’s side window.
The scene was reminiscent of a monster truck stunt.
It appears the two had driven directly at one another, but the pick-up managed to run over the Corvette instead of crashing against it.
First responders had to remove the Silverado’s front right wheel in order to free the Corvette driver from the inside of his car.
Luckily, both drivers crawled out of their vehicles without any injuries.
Police are still dumbfounded as to how the collision occurred, they told 9 News.
