Martha Stewart said she would go to Greenland and get the ice from the glacier herself; she needed one for her drink.

On Monday, Stewart posted from a luxury cruise into Greenland’s fjords. Stewart appears to be on a trip with Brian Kelly, also known as The Points Guy. “Day one in Greenland was a lot like the Christmas Day as a kid- excitement followed by treasure after treasure,” Kelly wrote. “Icebergs are pieces of art and watching them float by never gets old. The magnitude of the glaciers is humbling and frankly hard to fully comprehend. Greenland has been impacted particularly hard by global warming, but it’s [sic] beauty still cannot be understated.”

Global warming tourism has been heating up for many years now, so it was only a matter of time before Stewart and the Points Guy made the voyage together.

“We actually captured a small iceberg for our cocktails tonight,” Stewart said in her own post, and included a photo of the block of ice. The ice in question appears to be sitting on a utility cart in a gift shop on this boat, so who knows if she actually acquired it for a cocktail or if the domestic doyen of domestic doyens is making a funny (People think she’s so serious, but Martha can joke. You won’t understand it unless your blood also runs blue, but they are jokes nonetheless. Vanity Fair has reached out to Stewart’s team for comment).

Stewart did use the word actually, so maybe she’s playing it straight and really did have someone chip off a handful of shards for her milk punch. And this would fit into what we know about and expect from Stewart, wouldn’t it? The woman deals in the finest things, and what’s finer than going to the source for the most luxury item of this particular moment in luxury: Ice. Ice for your drink. Something that not only is fleeting in its small doses, but also in an existential way. Something that is clean and beautiful and also very useful—the Martha trifecta. The ultimate status symbol is a “small iceberg” fished out of the waters off the coast of Greenland, and Martha Stewart has one. Sure, the world is on fire, but still, everything is in its place.
