Prince Harry and his disgraced uncle Prince Andrew have “no road back” into the royal fold under King Charles’ reign, according to a royal expert.
Royal broadcaster Esther Krakue said the British public “has no appetite” for their return following a series of recent shocking revelations from the Duke of Sussex, and scandals from the Duke of York.
“In terms of public life, Prince Andrew and Prince Harry find themselves in a similar situation in that there is no road back for them in the Royal Family,” Krakue told Sky News Australia.
Krakue’s comment follows hot on the heels of a new poll, conducted by Deltapoll for the Daily Mail, that found more than half of 1,504 Brits wanting Harry removed from the line of succession.
The royal expert claimed Harry attending Charles’ coronation in May was “just a nod” out of respect, and meant nothing more than him wanting to be there for “the most important event” of the King’s life.
What’s more, Krakue claims that the monarch “understands” that the British people wouldn’t want to see his youngest son or brother return to “the Firm.”
“[King Charles] clearly understands the public and knows the public has no appetite for the likes of the Sussexes or Prince Andrew,” she told the outlet.
“It would be completely ridiculous if they returned to the Royal Family — most people want their titles removed.”
The survey also found that 51% of Brits believe that Harry, his wife Meghan Markle, and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet should have their respective titles removed.
Kay added that sources close to the monarch claim the royals are furious at “sustained” attacks from the Sussexes.
“A visceral bitterness persists at the sustained attacks that Harry and Meghan have waged against family members through his memoir and their various television interviews,” he wrote.
“In such a highly charged atmosphere, there was resentment that elements of the Duke and Duchess’s previous lives were allowed to remain unaltered, as though they were still somehow part of ‘the Firm.’”
