The 2023 animated movie, based on Nintendo’s Mario video game franchise, features the voice of Chris Pratt as the Italian-American plumber known as Mario, while comedian Charlie Day voices his brother, Luigi. The movie also stars Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong. With a cast like that, you might say that this movie is a regular Mario Party.
It was a box office hit when it opened in theaters in April. In fact, as of today, The Super Mario Bros. Movie is (for now) the highest-grossing movie of 2023.
