A birthday fit for a princess.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markleâs daughter, Princess Lilibet, turned 2 on Sunday, with the family reportedly celebrating the occasion with an âall-American affairâ in California.
âI would expect to see a sprinkling of celebrities and a laid-back party, which hopefully will include some other toddlers,â royal expert and journalist Jennie Bond told told OK! Magazine UK ahead of the special day.
âIt would be nice to think the day might include a video call to Lilibetâs grandfather, King Charles III, and hopefully some sort of gift has been arranged and will be delivered to Montecito for her birthday.â
A separate source claimed to New Idea that King Charles III âhad his aides looking at custom-made cubby houses, similar to what the Queen and Princess Margaret had when they were girls.â
âHe wants to give Lili something she will use and be hers,” the tabloid’s source said.
âSheâll remember it forever â itâs going to be the ultimate surprise. Harry has warned Charles [however] to be less extravagant.â
The youngest child of Harry, 38, and Markle, 41, was born in California, where her parents relocated after stepping back from their royal duties in 2020.
Meanwhile, the toddlerâs older brother, Prince Archie, was born in London. However, he celebrated his fourth birthday last month at home in California.

His big day fell on the same date as the coronation of Charles, 74, who reportedly raised a toast to the youngster during an intimate family gathering in London.
The late Queen Elizabeth llâs son toasted to Archie âwherever he wasâ and to âthose that werenât there,â a source told the Daily Mail.
Although Prince Harry attended his father’s historic coronation, he jetted back to California to celebrate Archie’s âintimateâ birthday party â which he refused to miss â less than 24 hours after touching down in the English capital.
His brief appearance left many members of the royal family wondering why he even bothered to show up at all.
âOne makes oneâs choices. To be honest there wasnât much talk of Harry at all. The focus was very much on the occasion,” a source close to the family told Vanity Fair.
The insider also told the outlet that Harry didnât see or speak to his estranged family outside of the televised ceremony.
Tensions have been high between both parties since Harry and Markle resigned from their royal duties. Their relationship with the royal family fractured even further after the release of Harryâs tell-all memoir, âSpare,â and their joint Netflix series, âHarry & Meghan.â
