S Club 7’s upcoming UK and Ireland tour is set to go on as scheduled following the sudden death of band member Paul Cattermole on Thursday.
According to the Sun, the 11 shows were originally set to celebrate the band’s 25th anniversary, but will now pivot to honor Cattermole.
âThe members are still reeling from the shock of Paulâs tragic death, but they all feel that continuing with the tour is what Paul would have wanted,” a source told the UK outlet.
The source added, “He was so excited about getting on stage again and feeling really positive about the reunion so it feels like the right thing to do. Management thinks it would be a lovely tribute to Paul and a great way to keep his much-loved memory alive.”

The outlet reported the band â which consists of members Hannah Spearritt, 42, Rachel Stevens, 44, Jo OâMeara, 43, Tina Barrett, 46, Jon Lee, 40 and Bradley McIntosh, 41 â will have meetings with their manager Simon Fuller in the coming weeks to discuss the upcoming concerts and make sure everyone is “feeling happy and comfortable.”
Fuller did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
The English pop group, which formed in 1998, announced Cattermole died at age 46 on Friday.
“We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel,” they said in a statement. âWe were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have.â
Cattermole was found at his home in Dorset, England. A cause of death has not been revealed.
The singer was spotted in great spirits, dancing during a stroll in the English countryside just one day before his death.
âObviously, weâre bringing the nostalgia. Obviously, weâre bringing the late â90s, early [2000s], so itâs a lot of fun. Itâs very positive, our music, very positive,â McIntosh told BBC of the upcoming tour back in February.
âAnd I think in todayâs times you need a bit of positive, you need a bit of picking up, so thatâs what weâre here to do.â
