Tom Schwartz actually knew about Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss’ affair since August 2022.
“I learned in late August about the affair,” Schwartz told Andy Cohen on Wednesday’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live” when interrogated about his knowledge of the Scandoval.
The “Vanderpump Rules” star explained that, at the time, his best friend and business partner told him that he and Leviss had a “one-night stand.”
However, Schwartz didn’t say if Sandoval’s now ex-girlfriend, Ariana Madix, was aware of the hookup.
“Then it became — from my point of view — an emotional affair … But I didn’t think it was a linear thing,” Schwartz, 40, said. He then clarified that he was unaware it was “steadily progressing” throughout the fall.
But by January 2023, Sandoval, also 40, admitted that he was actually “in love with Raquel.”
“I was flabbergasted but not surprised because, I think, there’s a lot of people out there who kind of knew it was an open secret,” Schwartz claimed.

The Bravolebrity went on to accuse Sandoval of becoming “flagrant” and “brazen” about the affair between January and March, when Madix ultimately found out.
However, when Cohen demanded to know why Schwartz didn’t tell Madix about the affair, he claimed that Sandoval was “placating” him by telling him he was in the process of dumping his girlfriend of nearly ten years.
“I’m being fed a narrative that he has broken up with Ariana or attempted to many many times — that he’s not happy, they’re not healthy, they’re not intimate, blah blah,” Schwartz claimed. “All of that’s inconsequential now in light of the way he handled it.”
The Schwartz & Sandy’s co-owner also admitted that Sandoval and Leviss, 28, planned to come clean about the affair after the “nuclear” Season 10 reunion filmed on March 23, but that obviously all changed when Madix found a sexually explicit video of Leviss on Sandoval’s phone.
Madix dumped Sandoval hours after finding out about the affair.
When Scandoval was exposed last month, many fans and “VPR” cast members believed Schwartz knew about the whole ordeal from the very beginning seeing as he and Sandoval are best friends.
Lisa Vanderpump herself told Cohen back on March 7, “I think they are so close, I mean I’d of been less surprised if you said Schwartz and Sandy got together rather than Sandoval and Raquel.
“I think he sits on the fence so tight it’s up his ass … He tries to placate everything and play both sides.”
Kristen Doute, who also dated Sandoval before he moved on with Madix, also voiced that she believed he knew.
“Tom Schwartz is a f–king p—y, and he needs to man up,” Doute said on a March episode of Dear Media’s “Scheananigans” podcast.
“Enough is enough. He’s just burying his head in the sand and thinks that things will just go away and things will happen,” Doute continued.
“It’s like he can be honest with us in real time and texting, ‘I don’t stand for this’ or ‘I really feel this way,’ but he doesn’t do anything about it.”
Doute, along with Lala Kent and Scheana Shay didn’t say whether Schwartz specifically “knew” about the affair between Leviss and Sandoval. But he ultimately revealed that he knew from the very beginning.
