Eric André has blasted the troubled son of Tom Hanks as “emotionally disturbed” in a new interview.
The standup comedian claimed to Rolling Stone that Chet Hanks, who used to go by the pseudonym Chet Haze, became extremely problematic while filming the “Eric André Show.”
“Chet Hanks, on the other hand, was a tough cookie. He broke our crew. It felt like ‘Rust,’” Andrew told the magazine, referencing the Alec Baldwin movie that resulted in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
“He broke us down.”
André, 39, recalled Chet engaging in “dangerous” behavior that could have resulted in injured cast and crewmembers.
“He is⦠emotionally disturbed. He stole a motorcycle and rode it around. He almost knocked a bunch of grips and gaffers off their ladders,” André shared.
“It was very dangerous. He tried to prank us back, but we edited out all his bulls–t!” he continued. “Heâs not well. How did Colin Hanks come out so good and Chet Hanks come out so bad?”
The “Man Seeking Woman” voice actor further claimed that Chet “tried to sleep with Ziwe.”
“I talked to Ziwe about it. God, what a guy. Now heâs the executive producer on the show and the president of Adult Swim,” he joked, laughing.
A rep for Chet, 32, didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
Chet’s troubled past and struggle with addiction issues have been well-documented, but he sobered up in 2018. Unfortunately, he relapsed but has been clean since September 2021 and has launched a personal training company.
Back in November, Chet candidly recalled his parents sending him to a wilderness program in southern Utah to treat his addiction when he was in high school.
âThey just hiked us in circles with an 80-pound pack,â the âWhite Boy Summerâ rapper remembered. âThereâs a lot going through your mind. Youâre under observation. ⦠Theyâre psychoanalyzing you and picking you apart.â
