Prince Harry admitted to possibly being “bigoted” before his relationship with Meghan Markle began.

In a new clip of his forthcoming interview on “60 Minutes,” the Duke of Sussex acknowledged his own faults while talking about how the British press mistreated his mixed-race wife.

“What Meghan had to go through was similar, in some part, to what Kate [Middleton] and what [Queen] Camilla went through — very different circumstances,” he told host Anderson Cooper.

“But then you add in the race element, which was what the British press jumped on straight away,” Harry, 38, continued. “I went into this incredibly naive. I had no idea the British press was so bigoted. Hell, I was probably bigoted before the relationship with Meghan.”

When Cooper asked Harry if he thought he was bigoted, he replied, “I don’t know. Put it this way, I didn’t see what I now see.”

Harry has always been vocal about his disdain for the way the British media has treated the “Suits” alum since their relationship became public.

In 2021, Harry and Markle, 41, said Britain’s “toxic” media aided in their decision to leave the royal family.

“We all know what the British press can be like and it was destroying my mental health,” he said in the interview on “The Late Late Show With James Corden” at the time.

“This is toxic,” he added, alleging that the media had created a “really difficult” environment for himself and his wife.

“So, I did what any husband and what any father would do — I need to get my family out of here,” he said.

And in the couple’s new Netflix six-episode series, “Harry & Meghan,” which was released last month, the parents of two showcased how the British media used Markle’s race to drive their stories.

Harry said that some of the royal family did not recognize the role that Markle’s race played in the media coverage she was given compared to other members of the brood.

“As far as a lot of the family were concerned, everything she was being put through, they had been put through as well. So it was almost like a rite of passage,” he said on the docuseries.

“Some of the members of the family were like, ‘Right my wife has been put through that, so why should your girlfriend be treated any differently? Why should you get special treatment? Why should she be different?’” Harry recalled. “And I said, ‘The difference here is the race element.’”

Prince Harry’s full interview on “60 Minutes” airs Sunday, January 8 at 7:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
