Stormy Daniels isn’t backing down to haters of her Cameo account after she called out a Twitter user who tried to troll her for using the video-sharing site.
Daniels, an adult film actress who was famously linked to former president Donald Trump, had a public altercation with a Twitter user in front of her 1.2 million followers.
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, came to mainstream attention in March 2018 when she alleged that Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen had paid her $130,000 in hush money to deny an alleged affair with Trump. The affair has always been denied by Trump and his representatives.
Daniels has often found herself the target of hateful messages from Trump supporters. Seemingly, one of these supporters took a dislike to Daniels’ promotion of her Cameo account.
“Don’t u have kids? What a discrace of a whoremom!” wrote Twitter user @kennsawl, a follower of Trump and some of his senior advisers on the platform.
Cameo is a social media app that allows celebrities to sell personalized messages and videos to people who are willing to pay for them.
Unperturbed by the insult, Daniels instantly hit back, slamming the user’s spelling mistake.
“Does anyone know what a ‘discrace’ is? Is he saying I’m bad at being a ‘whoremom’ or good at it? Or that my kid is a whore?” Daniels wrote in a tongue-in-cheek message whilst quoting the original tweet.
Other Twitter users joined in on Daniels’ joke, suggesting a “discrace” is a race between two CDs or something to do with frisbees. Others, however, didn’t see the funny side.
“How stupid must someone be that they can’t figure out a simple typo of ‘disgrace’” user @DaveSee410 wrote in response to Daniels’ message. “Probably why she’s going to be stop paying Trump’s legal bills for some time…Keep on dancin’,” they wrote.
Daniels and Trump have been involved in a legal battle for several years, and in 2022, she lost an appeal to reverse her failed defamation suit involving the former president, requiring her to pay out $300,000. Despite the verdict, she has stated she will not pay up.
“I will go to jail before I pay a penny,” Daniels wrote on Twitter in March 2022 when someone mentioned the verdict to her online.
Since breaking into mainstream pop culture after making her allegations against Trump in 2018, Daniels’ career has extended further than the adult entertainment industry.
She appeared as herself on Saturday Night Live in May 2018 when Donald Glover was the host and musical guest. In November 2022, she appeared on the podcast Ghost Magnet with Bridget Marquardt and revealed that in a former home she’d been haunted by a “very, very dark non-human thing with these tentacles.”
In 2018, she was hours away from entering the U.K. Celebrity Big Brother house, but dropped out at the last minute.
