A golden retriever has left online commenters in stitches after a video of her stealing her Christmas present from underneath a Christmas tree went viral on social media.
In the clip, shared Friday on TikTok by the dog’s owner, under the username nicoleross7447, she can be seen quietly and excitedly stealing her gift, which was a bag containing a plush toy and a fetch ball, then running away toward the door to play with her new toys.
The hilarious post came with a caption that says: “She did NOT just steal her own Christmas present??”
To keep your dog’s toys in good condition, you should rotate them weekly by making only a few toys available at a time, according to the Humane Society. It suggests keeping a variety of toy types easily accessible, although if your dog has a favorite, like a soft comfort toy, you may want to leave it out all the time.
