Aaron Carter’s family doesn’t want to end up in a messy legal battle over the late singer’s estate.

The former child star’s mom, Jane Carter, recently told TMZ that although she has yet to meet her 1-year old grandson, Prince, she wants him to inherit all of his dad’s assets as the family “doesn’t need the money.”

Jane also told the outlet that she would like to have a relationship with her grandson and Aaron’s on-again, off-again fiancée, Melanie Martin, who currently has custody of Prince.

After Aaron was tragically found dead in his bathtub at the age 34 on Nov. 5, Jane asked her daughter Angel – Aaron’s twin – to file a petition to serve as administrator of his estate.

Although the “I Want Candy” singer died without a will, his personal property and real estate portfolio — which is reportedly worth around half a million dollars — would most likely be inherited by his son, per California succession laws.

Martin, who was forced to move out of the Los Angeles home she shared with Aaron, also spoke out this week about the will.

“I don’t want any problems or stress over Aaron’s estate,” Martin, 30, told Us Weekly on Tuesday, noting she doesn’t “want any bad blood” with his relatives.

“I just want Prince to be taken care of and want Aaron’s legacy to live on … whoever wants to be in Prince’s life can be in Prince’s life.”

The proud mom celebrated her baby boy’s first birthday just last week, and reflected on Aaron’s death.

“Happy birthday to my baby boy Prince Lyric Carter 🙏❤️👑,” the model captioned a video featuring a series of throwback photos on Instagram.

“Today is going to be a tough one for me but I know your daddy is playing birthday songs for you up in heaven. I love you baby boy!!!🎶🎤❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔.”

As previously reported, the “Aaron’s Party” hitmaker had struggled with various addictions and mental health issues for the majority of his life.

“There were too many people involved [at] the end of his life. They [were] the wrong people,” Martin alleged to Page Six last month. “There would be times when he would be like, ‘I can’t believe I did that,’ or ‘I don’t want to be involved with these people,’ and then he would easily get suckered in.

“It was just awful. It was this back and forth, back and forth,” she added. “He just didn’t know how to escape his demons.”

Aaron was reportedly found with several cans of compressed air and prescription pill bottles at the time of his passing.

His cause of death is yet to be determined, pending toxicology results.
