Jennifer Lopez is real, even when talking about her most infamous fashion moment.
In a new interview for Vogueâs 73 Questions, Lopez reveals that she is as fond of her iconic red carpet look as the rest of the world.Â
When asked to describe her âfavorite look of all time,â the Bronx-born singer says, âI think people would think itâs the green Versace dress ’cause itâs the most famous,â before adding, âbut I would have to probably say itâs too hard to choose.âÂ
The mom of two, 53, goes on to tell Vogue the only difference between California and the Bronx is âthe size of my closetâ and describes her personal style as âkind of relaxed and tomboyish but with a little bit of sexy in it.â
The Super Bowl performer first rocked the memorable green Versace gown at the Grammys in 2000 before closing the Versace runway show 19 years later at age 50 in a subtly different version of the dress that made her a star.
In 2019, the âHustlersâ star revealed in YouTube series âMoments of Fashionâ that her Grammys fashion moment came together at the last minute since she was busy shooting the “Wedding Planner.â
Lopez was only given a choice between two dresses, and one was âthe Versace jungle-print dress,â which had already been worn by three other people, including Sandra Bullock, Geri Halliwell and designer Donatella Versace.Â
Despite worries that her âboobs were gonna pop out onstageâ she chose the plunging gown and made fashion history, spawning Google Image search because so many people were hunting for photos of the ab-baring dress.
When she closed the Versace show in an altered version of the sultry style in 2019, even Anna Wintour was seen smiling while giving Lopez a standing ovation.
