Keltie Knight is exclusively taking Page Six Style behind-the-scenes of her prep for the 2022 Macyâs Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The âE! Newsâ chief correspondent is co-anchoring the annual CBS special with âEntertainment Tonightâ host Kevin Frazier in New York City on Thursday, and giving us all the deets on her holiday glam.
âEvery year, people write me saying, âI canât wait to see your coat!â This year, I bought my yellow Kate Spade coat off Poshmark second hand,â Knight, 40, tells us.
âYellow is my âpower colorâ and I couldnât find anything new that seemed special enough for such a big day, so I went looking at all the re-sale sites. I love the faux fur collar, the gold buttons and itâs really warm!â
The âLadyGangâ podcast host added that what fans wonât see on TV is that underneath the coat, sheâs all layered up.
âI rock wool socks, big boots and thermal layers,â she shares. âAnd put warming packs everywhere I can!â
As for Knightâs favorite Thanksgiving Day Parade accessory, itâs one you may have seen her wear before, as itâs a piece near and dear to her heart.
âThis day actually has a special piece of jewelry to go along with it. My first year hosting the parade, my husband [Chris Knight] surprised me in the hotel room with this beautiful Sydney Evan diamond âloveâ ring,â she says, pointing out that she always uses Shinery jewelry cleaner before a big event to make her diamonds âsparkle.â
âItâs been my good luck charm ever since. I wear it every year.â
For her beauty routine, Knight tells Page Six Style that prepping her skin the night before is just as important as show day.
âThe most important thing for the parade is getting my skin super healthy so that it stays plump and hydrated during the long day, and in the cold weather and wind,â she explains.
âThe night before I have an intense pre-show routine that includes a Josie Maran scrub, St. Dennis Gross peel, Tatcha Radiance mask, the Sunday Riley Good Genes treatment, a Malibu treatment for my hair and a solawave red light therapy wand,â she continues. âIâll sleep in the Bondi Sands self-tanning mask.â
Early Thursday morning, Knight says itâs âall about the layersâ of moisture.
âI use Clarins V-Facial, Sunday Riley CEO Afterglow cream, EMBER wellness facial cupping to get rid of any puff from the night, Saint Jane serum and a layer of my favorite $12 skin cream ever, Weledaâs Skin food,â she reveals, telling us âthe Victoriaâs Secret Angels taughtâ her this beauty secret.
âThen I head to set with the brow mask, and the V-line chin lift mask on. I look crazy but it works!â
The former Radio City Rockette dancer tapped Karmen Haik and Jamina Lawrence to help with glam this year.
âThey have been my NYC glam team for over a decade. Weâve done all the major events together from the Grammy Awards to the Met Gala,â she says. âKarmen really understands how to make my makeup last in the wind and cold weather. She knows my nose will run. She understands that itâs often so cold my eyelashes are frozen.â
Knight tells Page Six Style she wanted âsuper clean and pretty fresh makeupâ for the parade this year.
They created the stunning look using kogendo moisture foundation, the Patrick Ta âMajor Dimensionâ Eyeshadow Palette, MakeUp forever lip pencil in âAnywhere Caffeine,â Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand, Anastasia Brow Freeze and Fenty Beauty Diamond Bomb.
âIâm honored to be a part of peopleâs Thanksgiving traditions. Hosting the parade has been one of my career highlights, and spending time with my co-host, Kevin Frazier, is a true joy,â Knight tells us.
âI hope everyone enjoys their day, in whatever that means for them â whether it be with family, chosen family, or like me, working and seeing the Radio City Rockettes at night!â
