Al Roker is âso very thankfulâ to have made it home for Thanksgiving with his family.
The âTodayâ meteorologist shared a health update with fans via social media on Thursday after missing out on the Macyâs Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time in 27 years.
A cheery Roker, 68, posted a video of himself in comfy attire as he walked around the hallways of a hospital.
âAlright, this is my version of the Thanksgiving Day Parade,â he said. âGetting ready to leave the hospital. Time to blow this taco stand. Woohoo!â
The weather anchor later informed fans that he made it home just âin timeâ to catch some of the parade commentary from âTodayâ colleagues Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb.
âSo very #thankful to be able to be home for #thanksgiving#dinner with #family,â he wrote in another post shared via Instagram.
Plenty of celebs and fellow TV personalities took to the comments sections of Rokerâs various posts to send him love and support.
âYay Al! Happy Thanksgiving! â¤ï¸â¤ï¸,â wrote Katie Couric, with Jenna Bush Hager adding, âYasss!! Now we are especially thankful for you too!!! And all those doctors and nurses who took care of our dear one! â¤ï¸.â
Barbara Ann Corcoran also chimed in, writing, âSending you all my love! Happy Thanksgiving â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸.â
As Page Six previously reported, Roker skipped the annual televised parade in New York City this year due to ongoing health concerns, with meteorologist Dylan Dreyer stepping in for him.
âSo many of you have been thoughtfully asking where Iâve been,â Roker wrote in a Nov. 18 Instagram post amid growing concern over his absence from the âTodayâ show.
âLast week I was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in my leg which sent some clots into my lungs. After some medical whack-a-mole, I am so fortunate to be getting terrific medical care and on the way to recovery.â
Roker concluded his post by thanking fans for âall the well wishesâ and prayers.
âHope to see you soon,â he added. âHave a great weekend, everyone.â
