Eva Mendes seemingly confirmed that she and Ryan Gosling secretly tied the knot during an interview on Thursday.
While promoting the Ronald McDonald House charity on “Today Australia,” the “Training Day” star, 48, referred to Gosling as her “husband” after being asked about her time Down Under.
“I’m loving it here,” the mother of two said. “Everybody is amazing, everybody is welcoming us, it’s been so beautiful. My husband Ryan is here … and our children are here, we’re having the best time.”
Mendes â who shares daughters Esmeralda, 8, and Amada, 6, with the 42-year-old actor â went on to joke about her “ordinary” looking spouse after hosts Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon played a shirtless clip of Gosling from “Crazy, Stupid, Love.”
“Yeah, that’s my life, unfortunately,” she quipped. “And he’s a great cook and he bakes. I got the short end of the stick, didn’t I!”
Mendes’ comments sent fans into a frenzy given that the famously private couple rarely talks about their decade-long relationship in public.
“Finally we got it. I hope there’s no other reason for announcing this now,” one fan wrote after a fan account posted the clip on Instagram.
“She has a wedding ring on,” another fan pointed out, while a third wished the “beautiful” couple “congratulations.”
Although Mendes might’ve put an end to the marriage speculation once and for all, she teased the subtle announcement earlier this week by posting a very special tattoo tribute to Gosling.
On Tuesday morning, the “Hitch” actress took to Instagram to show off a tattoo on her inner wrist that read, âde gosling.â
In Hispanic culture, women can add âdeâ â or âofâ â to their last name after getting married to join the two monikers.
So, the move might’ve been a way for the actress to reintroduce herself to the world as Eva Mendes de Gosling.
Although the twosome has never confirmed whether or not they’ve said “I do,” wedding rumors started to swirl in 2016 and again last year when Mendes was spotted with a ring on that finger.
