Dating Pete Davidson or bearing a child with Nick Cannon could be a rite of passage for all women, joked one Twitter user.
Teresa Eliz went viral with their tweet poking fun at the Saturday Night Live alum’s dating history and Cannon’s eye-raising paternity feats, as he prepares to welcome his 12th child and fifth in five months.
“You either date Pete Davidson or have a baby with Nick Cannon. Those are the only two life paths for women,” Eliz wrote on the tweet which has received 261,000 likes at the time of writing.
The hilarious responses came in thick and fast to Eliz’s tweet with one person joking women should have more options.
“Stop it. Women should not be limited this way. You can also date Pete Davidson AND have a baby with Nick Cannon,” replied Twitter user Clash_WS.
Even singing legend Dionne Warwick got in on the action. She tweeted: “I will be dating Pete Davidson next.”
Davidson has become as well known for his comedy as much as his relationships with beautiful celebrities from Kate Beckinsale, model Kaia Gerber and Bridgerton‘s Phoebe Dynevor.
He is now reported to be getting cosy with model Emily Ratajkowski just months after her split from husband Sebastian Bear-McClard.
Getting together with famous women after high-profile break-ups also seems to be a trend for Davidson, who got engaged to Ariana Grande after her split from rapper Mac Miller.
The comedian most recently dated Kim Kardashian in her first relationship since her divorce from husband Kanye West.
As for Cannon, 42, he will have had five children in five months with five women when his second child with model Alyssa Scott arrives in December.
This brings his total number of children to 12 after losing his first son with Scott in December 2021.
The five-month-old boy named Zen, died from a brain tumor caused by hydrocephalus, an abnormal increase in fluid in the brain.
Cannon welcomed his 11th child on Friday after radio personality Abby De La Rosa gave birth daughter, Beautiful Zeppelin.
De La Rosa, 31 also gave birth to twin boys fathered by Cannon in June 2021.
On September 14, Cannon told fans he and model Lanisha Cole, 40, had welcomed a girl named Onyx Ice Cole.
Former Miss Universe contestant Brittany Bell, 34, gave birth to the pair’s third child together just nine days after Onyx’s birth. They also share son Golden Sagon, 5, and daughter Powerful Queen, two.
Earlier this year, Cannon welcomed son Legendary Love in July with model Bre Tiesi, 31.
Cannon’s oldest children, 11-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan, are the result of his marriage to ex-wife Mariah Carey.
The TV host recently defended his decision to keep having babies with multiple women.
“I’ve given up on attempting to define myself for the world or society but instead I’m doing the work to heal and grow into the infinite Being God ordained me to be,” he wrote when he announced Onyx’s birth.
“Hopefully I can teach Onyx the same, to not let others shame or ridicule her with their outside opinions, because when they do they are only projecting their own harsh experiences, pain and social programming onto her unblemished beauty.”
He then urged any critics to direct their comments about his family towards him and not the mothers of his children.
“As we all know I am not easily triggered and have quite tough skin and have always been an open book but not everyone in my family has that same level of strength,” Cannon wrote.
“So I pray and ask others to please project all criticism and cynicism towards ME and not the loving and precious Mothers of my children.”
He added: “If you are truly concerned during this time of Spiritual Warfare, my inner struggles with self, mental wellness and physical health concerns… Just continue to pray for me and my entire family that God will grant us Peace that surpasses all Understanding.”
