Taylor Swift seemed to nod to “Midnights” standout “Bejeweled” with her look for Sunday’s MTV EMAs 2022: a black bodysuit-style David Koma dress fitted with a sheer, sparkling cage skirt studded with emerald-colored gems.
Making a surprise appearance on the red carpet in Düsseldorf, Germany, the 32-year-old pop sensation paired the plunging design with an array of (what else?) jewels from Anita Ko, Delfina Delettrez, Repossi and Djula, including a smattering of diamond ear cuffs and several blinged-out rings.
Swift finished her look with black Giuseppe Zanotti slingback sandals ($750) and a sleek bun, swapping her signature red lip for a glossy nude one and adding a sparkling green cat eye for extra drama.
She was nominated in six categories at this year’s EMAs, and wound up taking home four awards in total: Best Artist, Best Video, Best Pop and Best Longform Video for “All Too Well: The Short Film.”
Swift even pulled off a quick change partway through the ceremony, trading her red carpet look for a dazzling David Koma polo-style minidress ($4,508) that similarly had no shortage of shimmer, along with towering silver Jimmy Choo platforms ($1,050).
Hot off the release of “Midnights,” her 10th studio album, the “Anti-Hero” hitmaker is gearing up for her massive “Eras Tour,” which will kick off March 18 in Glendale, Arizona.
In September, Page Six exclusively reported that Swift was set to hit the road for the first time in five years, with a source telling us, “Taylor has some really ambitious plans in place. She’s excited to get back on the road after such a long but fruitful break.”
We can’t wait to see which songs make the set list — and what she’ll wear.
