Timothée Chalamet is a style star â and he’s a cover star, too.
The “Call Me By Your Name” actor graces the cover of British Vogue’s October issue, making history as the first male to front the mag solo.
While he’s famous for his daring red carpet looks â which have included bedazzled harnesses, sequined hoodies and, most recently, a backless halter top â Chalamet, 26, has yet to appear in a fashion campaign.
âWhen [success] came my way, I felt very particular that I didnât want people and I really didnât want to see myself cashing in,â he told the magazine.
He didn’t even want to make a fuss about his momentous cover moment, saying, âThe nature of the world now, you know⦠It felt right to not make it too statement-y.”
That didn’t stop him from rocking some statement-making looks in his British Vogue spread, however, with the young star showing off his chest in a Stella McCartney chainmail tank top and sporting Gucci leather pants with a matching lace-up vest, often paired with a string of pearls.
“Timothée Chalamet is coming for all of our throats with this shoot,” one fan gushed on Twitter.
Even though Chalamet declined to discuss his love life (or share much about his life outside of work in general), he did reveal the “career rule” Leonardo DiCaprio once shared with him: âNo hard drugs and no superhero movies.â
Chalamet will soon be seen in “Wonka,” embodying the titular character in the Roald Dahl-based movie musical and giving him yet another opportunity to showcase his creativity.
âI hate to say it, but the dream as an artist is to throw whatever the fâk you want at the wall, you know?” he said. “And I guess what Iâm realising is that oneâs personal life, oneâs adult life, can be quite boring and the artistâs life can still be extraordinary.â
Certainly no one would dare call Timmy boring.
