Let’s hope they didn’t drip any chili on those fits!
Newlyweds Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck coordinated in casual ensembles for the Malibu Chili Cook-Off in California on Sunday, which they attended with the singer’s 14-year-old twins, Emme and Max.
Lopez, 53, kept the white bridal theme going in a sheer, flowy kaftan-style maxi dress.
However, she added a surprising choice of footwear, sporting red Adidas x Gucci “GG” slides ($620) that looked more like shower shoes than her usual glam heels.
Lopez — who clutched a can of Coke as she walked hand-in-hand with Affleck — accessorized with a wide gold bangle, Jennifer Fisher hoop earrings ($180) and a gold pendant necklace.
She also carried her beloved Dior Book Tote monogrammed with “JLO” across the middle.
Despite the heat wave sweeping California, Affleck, 50, wore a long-sleeved, pale blue and white pinstripe button-up with khaki trousers and white sneakers.
During the outing, he even tried his hand at a basketball game – but failed to make a shot! – as they strolled the grounds of the event. Other celebs in attendance included Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson.
Bennifer 2.0 attended the cook-off event following their extravagant Georgia wedding on Aug. 20, which had an all-white dress code.
The “Marry Me” star wore three show-stopping Ralph Lauren wedding gowns while saying “I do” to Affleck after their intimate nuptials in Las Vegas.
The fabulous fashion didn’t stop there, however. Lopez also sported a glam gold gown for the rehearsal dinner and a preppy blue-and-white striped dress for the post-wedding brunch, both by the iconic American designer.
Now that Lopez and Affleck are back from their second honeymoon in Italy, we’re eagerly awaiting even more matching moments.
