A 70-year-old San Francisco woman was beaten and kicked in the head in a savage caught-on-camera attack in her apartment building.
The woman, who only wanted to be identified as Mrs. Ren, told ABC News she was attacked by a group of four juveniles after they asked for the time as she entered her building elevator on Sunday.
She showed them the time on her watch because she can’t speak English and didn’t know if they would understand her.
Ren said the group quickly started searching her body, which is when she realized “they’re up to no good.”
They started to physically attack her in the elevator after she refused to hand over her iPhone, the victim said.
“They got really mad and pulled me down,” Ren said.
Surveillance footage showed the group dragging the elderly victim to the ground and repeatedly punching her.
“They used their fist to hit my head multiple times and then they pulled me down and kept kicking me,” she said.
One of the attackers was caught on video kicking her squarely in the face as she lie on the ground.
Police are investigating the attack but no arrests have yet been made.
