Britney Spears married her long-term boyfriend Sam Asghari in June after five years of being together. They first met in 2016 when she selected him to be in her music video for “Slumber Party” featuring Tinashe, and the rest, is history.
During a June 2021 court hearing regarding her conservatorship status, one of the big things she set out to do was to marry her long-term boyfriend Asghari. The conservatorship was put in place in 2008, with her father Jamie Spears serving as conservator.
In June 2021, Spears asked a Los Angeles court to terminate her conservatorship, accusing her father, management and family of abuse, mistreatment, and conflict of interest. She told the court the conservatorship had also prevented her from marrying her partner Asghari.
The 13-year-long conservatorship was dissolved in November 2021 and if Spears’ Instagram posts are anything to go by, she is well and truly living her life to the fullest, with Asghari by her side.
The pair had announced their engagement in September 2021, just two months before the conservatorship was removed.
In April 2022, Spears announced that she was pregnant with her and Asghari’s first child together but sadly, she miscarried one month later.
They tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on June 9, 2022, at her home in Thousand Oaks, California which was attended by early aughts icons and A-List stars including Madonna, Donatella Versace, Paris Hilton, Drew Barrymore, and Selena Gomez.
One month after the wedding, Asghari has spoken candidly about his wedding day.
In a recent interview on Good Morning America, Asghari shared some details about his “fairytale” wedding, describing it as “overdue” and “surreal.”
Showing off his wedding band, he joked: “I have to wear this thing now. It’s heavy, so I’m getting a workout.”
He added: “It’s just surreal, man. It’s been a minute. It was way overdue for us, and we imagined this thing being a fairy tale for us, and it was.”
Now, the couple is settling into married life at their new home in Calabasas, which Spears purchased for $11.8 million.

Sam Asghari is a 28-year-old Iranian-American model and actor from Tehran, Iran.
Outside of his marriage to Spears, Asghari is well known for his role as Giancarlo in Black Monday and Christian in PBC.
He has also appeared in episodes of NCIS, The Family Business, Hacks, and Dollface.
Asghari will star in the movie Hot Seat, opposite Mel Gibson and Shannen Doherty. It is set for cinematic release on Friday, July 1.
