Radio and television personality Howard Stern said Monday that he may run for president due to abortion rights.

Stern, 68, told listeners on his Sirius XM program, “The Howard Stern Show,” that he was upset with the Supreme Court’s decision and that “I’m actually going to probably have to run for president now,” and that his main goal would be “make the country fair again.”

“The problem with most presidents is they have too big of an agenda. The only agenda I would have is to make the country fair again,” Stern said.

“I’ll give you a couple of examples of why this is so horrible. Everyday women who go to the doctor and they find out that the baby has horrible birth defects.

“A lot of times women are raped. A lot of times contraception doesn’t work. And then there’s even a more confusing state where a man and a woman want to have a baby, and all of a sudden things go medically wrong.”

The Supreme Court on Friday voted 5-4 to end the federal protection of abortion rights. This gives the states the power to decide if they want to ban abortions or not.

In 1994, Stern launched a failed bid for governor of New York. Many considered the bid a publicity stunt.

Stern’s comments Monday drew attention on Twitter.

It would be far more useful if Howard Stern ran for Senate in Kentucky. Or Senate anywhere that defeats a Republican incumbent. The problem is not he President. https://t.co/0HKZCd9M3n

In 2022 America, is it really that absurd to imagine Howard Stern as president?

I would rather see howard stern run for senate in a purple state and flip a seat. The problem isn’t w/ the president as so much as that the potus doesn’t have a solid majority in the senate to do anything!
