New episodes of “Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie” are delayed due to COVID-19 complications, the anime’s official website confirmed.
After airing Episode 6 of the series, the showrunners announced that “Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie” Episodes 7 and 9 are postponed.
The Doga Kobo production studio needs to shut down temporarily after several employees tested positive for COVID-19, the Twitter handle of the anime tweeted.
The website also released the updated schedule confirming that “Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie” Episode 7 will be broadcast on May 28.
The official summary for Episode 7 is out. Izumi and his friends are busy prepping for the upcoming school festival. Izumi is in the costume group while Shikimori is handling the interior decoration group. Can they work together and make the school festival a successful event?
“The ultimate heartthrob girlfriend appears! Naturally unlucky high school student Izumi’s girlfriend is his classmate Shikimori. She has a beautiful smile and kind personality and always seems happy when she’s with Izumi,” the official synopsis of “Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie” anime read, according to Crunchyroll.
“She’s a pretty, cute, and loving girlfriend, but when Izumi’s in trouble… she transforms into a super cool heartthrob girlfriend! The fun lives of the cute and cool Shikimori, Izumi, and their good friends never end! This 1000% precious romantic comedy begins now!” the synopsis continued.
“Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie” anime is based on the original work by Keigo Maki.
The cast of the anime includes Saori Onishi as Shikimori, Shuichiro Umeda as Izumi, Rina Hidaka as Hachimitsu, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Inuzuka, Misato Matsuoka as Nekozaki, Ayaka Fukuhara as Kamiya, Naomi Kusumi as Akisada Izumi and Emi Shinohara as Motoko Izumi.
The opening theme song of the anime is titled “Honey Jet Coaster,” and it is performed by nasuo ☆ . The closing theme song, “Route BLUE,” is by Yuki Nakashima.
