President Joe Biden last week signed a new bill into law that will direct $13.6 billion into the Ukrainian war effort against Russian aggression. It includes economic, military, and humanitarian aid for Ukraine as its war with Russia enters a fourth week.

Republican Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene said on Sunday that aid from the United States would possibly go toward funding “Nazi militias” instead of everyday Ukrainians.

Greene blasted her message worldwide Sunday through her Twitter account. She wrote that she was opposed to “Putin’s war” and the invasion that happened in late February. She also said Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky was using his own military to “torture his own people.”

Here’s what she actually wrote while retweeting a graphic video from someone else’s Twitter account.

“Torture and abuse of Ukrainian people including women and children. I’m strongly opposed to Putin’s invasion & Russia’s war in Ukraine and I’m strongly opposed to this. The US must demand Zelensky stop his military from torturing his own people,” Greene wrote.

Greene went on to say it was “Nazi militias” in Ukraine that were doing the torture, and that a U.S. aid package would be furthering that torture. She called for an end to it.

“We should not spend billions of American’s hard earned tax dollars on lethal aid to be given to possible Nazi militias that are torturing innocent people, especially children and women. It’s not Pro-Putin to be against this. It’s Pro-torture & evil to stay silent/censor it.”

Here is what’s in the aid package signed by Biden.

Roughly half of it, or $6.5 billion, will go to the Department of Defense to send defense weapons to Ukraine and send more American troops into the region, according to the House Appropriations Committee. Even though the U.S. has stationed troops throughout Europe, placing them in Ukraine is not an option at this time, as Ukraine is not a NATO partner.

The Biden bill includes around $4 billion in humanitarian aid, which would include emergency food and medical supplies, as well as helping refugees flee the country. It would also help displaced Ukrainians since the conflict began.

Another $1.8 billion would go towards economic help in Ukraine, which would include energy and cybersecurity problems, as well as give some relief to neighboring countries for the same issues.

Greene, who has catapulted into a right wing celebrity in the United States, ironically attended a white nationalist conference in February—about the same time Russia was invading Ukraine.
