Donald Trump Predicts 2024 Reelection Win, Be 47th US President [Watch]

Former President Donald Trump in a new video shared Wednesday confidently declared himself the winner of the 2024 presidential election, adding that he will be the 47th president of the United States.

In a widely shared clip posted on social media, Trump was seen playing golf at one of his clubs. The former president was walking to the first tee when one of his playing partners referred to him as the “45th president of the United States.”

“Forty-fifth and 47th,” Trump promptly corrected, eliciting cheers from people off-camera. 

The former president was wearing his famous red MAGA cap that bore the number 45 on the side. 

Trump has yet to publicly announce whether he plans to run for the presidency again in 2024. However, he has repeatedly teased running for another term and has been holding rallies ahead of this year’s midterm elections in November. 

The former president still holds a commanding lead over other potential Republican presidential candidates for 2024. A new Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll showed Trump holding a clear lead over seven other potential GOP candidates, garnering 57% support among Republican voters. 

A Politico/Morning Consult poll published Wednesday showed Trump trailing behind President Joe Biden by only 1% in a possible rematch. The same poll found that 49% of voters would likely choose Trump in a hypothetical Republican primary. Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-FL, secured only 14% support and former Vice President Mike Pence garnered 13% support. 

A Reuters/Ipsos poll published on Dec. 29 found that 54% of Republicans said they would likely vote for Trump as the GOP presidential nominee. Gov. DeSantis was a distant second, with only 11% support. 

Trump is expected to hold another MAGA rally on Saturday, this time in Conroe, Texas. The rally will be his first full-fledged rally in the state since 2019. The convention, called American Freedom Tour, will feature his son Donald Trump Jr, who has previously headlined similar rallies in Arizona and Florida. It will also feature other guests, including former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, right-wing political commentator Dinesh D’Souza and Fox News host Jeanine Pirro. 

The event will take place at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Tickets for the event range from $9 to nearly $2,000.
