For the first time since the tragic prop-gun misfire on the production of Rust, Alec Baldwin is sitting down to discuss the events surrounding the incident. Tonight, he’ll sit down with George Stephanopolous to open up about the tragedy, sharing his experience with the shooting in his first interview since the Oct. 21 accident.
In an early preview for the interview, Baldwin claims he didn’t pull the trigger on the gun that misfired, wounding director Joel Souza and killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. “I didn’t pull the trigger,” Baldwin said. “I would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger at them. Never.”
