A spokesperson for the funeral home confirmed to the time and date of the memorial visitation to Newsweek.
Newsweek was also able to confirm with the funeral home that the memorial visitation service will be open to the public. No other information about the service was available.
The memorial visitation comes less than a week after Petito’s manner of death was ruled a homicide by the Teton County Coroner’s office.
“Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue confirmed the remains are those of Gabrielle Venora Petito, date of birth March 19, 1999. Coroner Blue’s initial determination for the manner of death is homicide. The cause of death remains pending final autopsy results,” FBI Denver wrote in a tweet on Tuesday.
Petito’s remains were found a few days earlier near Wyoming’s Spread Creek area, after she was first reported missing by her family on September 11.
Petito went missing while on a road trip with her fiancé, Brian Laundrie, after they left Long Island on July 2. Her last communication with her family occurred during the last week of August, according to the North Port Police Department in Florida.
Laundrie reportedly traveled back to his parents’ home in North Port, Florida, 10 days before Petito was reported missing. He drove back to Florida in the white 2012 Ford Transit van that the couple was traveling in during their road trip.
This is a breaking news story and will be updated when more information becomes available.
