There’s seems to be a lot of very odd confusion about Jane Krakowski’s love life lately.
After she was forced to deny a wild rumor that she was dating MyPillow guy Mike Lindell, attendees at a recent gala became convinced that she was hitting the town with… The Fonz.
Page Six exclusively revealed in January that the “30 Rock” star is dating architect David Rockwell, but apparently, he bears more than a passing resemblance to Henry Winkler, who played iconic greaser Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli in “Happy Days.”
The pair were in the audience of the Public Theater Gala’s performance of “Merry Wives of Windsor,” on Monday night at the Delacorte Theater, where one excited audience member was heard to tell friends multiple times, “That is Fonzie!”
Alas, it was not.
Also in the crowd were (actually) Neil Patrick Harris, Broadway star Reeve Carney, Eva Noblezada, David Harbour, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and City Council Speaker Corey Johnson.
The show, a Harlem-based adaptation of the Shakespeare work by Jocelyn Bioh, was one of the first productions back on stage. Monday’s show was the final performance.
The Public’s Associate Artistic Director Saheem Ali made a speech after the last scene, as the cast emotionally wiped away tears during their bows, saying, “When we started this process, vaccines were not widespread. This company has been through it all. They have been through extreme weather, they have been through COVID, they have been through injury all to bring life and vitality to our city. All to bring the joy and gift of live theater back to us.”
Adding, “This company did it before any other company did it … they put their lives in our hands.”
The show was slated to officially open July 27 but had to push back its opening till August 9 when leading man Jacob Ming-Trent, who plays Falstaff, was injured. They also had to cancel performances when a cast member came down with COVID-19.
