First daughter Ashley Biden dialed up the fashion by rocking a tuxedo at Wednesday’s virtual inaugural concert.Featuring a tailored pant, the suit (reportedly designed by Ralph Lauren) was complete with an undone bowtie, unbuttoned white blouse, T-strap heels and a black mask. Ashley, 39, who is a social worker, polished off her threads with a sleek high ponytail as she danced alongside her parents during the evening’s festivities.
Ashley’s statement-making choice was especially impossible to miss among the sea of fabulous frocks in her family photos.
Dr. Jill Biden wore a white dress by Markakian, (the same designer she wore for the ceremony), as well as President Biden’s granddaughters Naomi, Finnegan, Natalie and Maisy, who donned a floral Rodarte gown styled with sneakers.
While Ashley’s menswear-inspired ensemble was a delightful surprise, it was the cherry on top after a day of splashy looks unveiled at yesterday’s inauguration swearing-in.
Among the memorable moments: Vice President Kamala Harris’ Christopher John Rogers look and First Lady Dr. Biden’s glittery Markarian moment, Harris’ adorable niece’s leopard coats, and Harris’ stepdaughter Ella Emhoff’s crystal-dusted bold-shoulder Miu Miu that is sure to go down in fashion history.
