President Trump on Wednesday tore into Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and Fox News host Chris Wallace after a chaotic and acrimonious first presidential debate.
“Nobody wants Sleepy Joe as a leader, including the Radical Left (which he lost last night!). He disrespected Bernie, effectively calling him a loser!” Trump tweeted.
In another tweet, he wrote: “Chris had a tough night. Two on one was not surprising, but fun. Many important points made, like throwing Bernie, AOC PLUS 3, and the rest, to the wolves! Radical Left is dumping Sleepy Joe. Zero Democrat enthusiasm, WEAK Leadership!”
Trump retweeted several messages with similar criticism of Biden and Wallace.
The debate in Cleveland featured insults and persistent interruptions by both sides.
Biden called Trump a “clown” and told him to “shut up, man!” and “shush.”
Trump peppered Biden with questions about his son Hunter’s business dealings in China, Russia and Ukraine — and during a dispute on COVID-19 social restrictions told Biden: “Wait a minute, Joe. Let me shut you down for a second.”
Wallace struggled to keep order and at one point told Trump that he was more guilty of interruptions than Biden. After the debate, Trump tweeted a late-night composite image accusing Wallace of siding with Biden “VS” Trump.
