Once again, Chrissy Teigen just got real about pregnancy—this time, specifically, to speak out about using Botox to cope with “really really bad pregnancy headaches.”

The Cravings author, who’s expecting her third child with husband John Legend, posted a series of tweets on Friday, September 4, telling fans she got the all-clear from her doctor to get injections done. (Though Botox is often used to smooth wrinkles, research has shown that the procedure can help with common neurological conditions, including migraines.)

“I get really really bad pregnancy headaches,” Teigen explained. “Was thrilled to be cleared to do neck muscle botox along with a crazy combo of beta blocker shots and radio wave frequency something something doctor terms. anyhow man it’s just so bad but I see the light finally.”

Teigen said she’s used botox to help with non-pregnancy-related headaches as well, saying the procedure has been “life changing.” She wrote, “Jaw Botox for my grinding was a MUST for my regular headaches. You can also do behind the brow for migraines.”

However, the soon-to-be mother-of-three told her followers that she consults with a neurologist instead of a cosmetic Botox injector. “Yeah if you have the means to go to a neurologist instead of cosmetic it’s a lot better and safer because they talk to your OB,” Teigen tweeted.

In true Chrissy Teigen fashion, when a Twitter user commented that some mommy-shamers might disapprove, she replied, “I absolutely do not care.”

The supermodel’s latest pregnancy update comes one month after she revealed had no idea that she was expecting when she underwent surgery to remove her breast implants in June.

“Oh, it’s quite a story. Lol,” Teigen wrote in response to a fan who said they were “confused” by the timing of her pregnancy and her recent surgery. “I did the routine pregnancy test you do before surgery. It said negative. It was not negative.”

Ultimately, Teigen admitted that she’s a little worried. “Part of me misses the safety of my perfect embryos, created in their little dish,” she tweeted. “They felt untouchable and safe. Now I feel a bit…eggshelly.”
