Although Nike SB never “left” per se, it’s enjoying a major renaissance in 2020, a large part of which is clean in-line SB Dunk High and SB Dunk Low releases. Now, those skate-ready ranks are set to gain yet another member: the SB Dunk High “Team Crimson” — a shoe that was set to gradually roll out at skateshops during June and is now pushing its way into Nike‘s official channels during July. Also known as the “Phillies Blunt,” this style is a lighter-toned version of 2011’s Dunk High “Cigar City.”
Bolstered by a signature thickly-padded collar and durable construction, this skate-ready Nike Dunk is built of white tumbled leather with sail-colored suede overlays. A stunning strike of color is then provided by crimson Swooshes, built from leather and surrounded with chestnut brown trim. This trim’s tone is replicated on the collar liner, while a soft blue hue is introduced in small doses on the branded tongue tag and midsole’s stitching. The midsole itself is dressed in white, the insole houses a heel Zoom Air unit for cushioning, and the classic outsole is done up in more burgundy to finalize the style.
Expect the Nike SB Dunk High “Team Crimson” to release at stockists like Nike SNKRS Korea on July 4, complete with a retail price of ₩112,900 KRW (approximately $95 USD). A staggered global release may occur over the coming weeks too, as in-line Dunks are not often held to stringent release dates.
