The minds behind Dover Street Market maintain a penchant for monochromatic footwear offerings, be they from in-house labels or exclusive silhouettes, perhaps to blend naturally with the boutique’s diverse offerings or to uphold the COMME des GARÇONS mindset. Either way, this single-tone mentality informs the retailer’s forthcoming adidas collaboration, yielding two minimalist Stan Smith sneakers.
adidas’ timeless tennis shoe is stripped of its usual green heel panel in favor of tonal white and black full-grain leather uppers with matching rubber sole units. Unadorned by the familiar gold foil and Three Stripes branding on the lateral side, both styles instead sport contrasting Dover Street market and adidas Trefoil logos on the heel. Matching prints are emblazoned on the insoles, heightening the shoes’ understated designs.
Look for the tonal trainers to arrive on Dover Street Market web stores April 9. Dover Street Market London’s site currently lists the shoes’ price at £130 GBP (approximately $160 USD) apiece, though they will be available at every Dover Street Market location’s website.
Most recently, Dover Street Market prepared to launch new colorways of the ultra-popular COMME des GARÇONS PLAY x Converse Chuck 70.
