Last month, Nike added “Desert Orange” and “Obsidian” colorways to its Air Force 1 GORE-TEX lineup. The American footwear giant has returned with a brand new “Light Bone/Medium Olive” iteration, offering a clean, minimal look to the weatherized silhouette.
The sneakers are lathered in creamy gray uppers with black accents, alongside subtle hints of olive and yellow. Starting at the top of the shoes, “Nike Air” and “GORE-TEX” branding is stamped at the tongue over a durable ballistic nylon base. Tonal white laces cover the forefoot, bringing out textural contrast between mesh textiles at the sides and toe box as well as smooth full-grain leather panels around the heel, eyelets and toe cap. One distinctive detail is a stark black leather Swoosh placed over the sidewalls, wrapping around towards the back to meet the heel counter embroidered with “Nike Air.” “GORE-TEX” is etched just below at the rear quarters. All of these details sit atop an ivory-toned, non-marking rubber midsole, elevating the design with a nuanced shade that gives the classic silhouette a premium feel.
The Nike Air Force 1 GORE-TEX “Light Bone/Medium Olive” is currently available at Nike’s website for $150 USD.
