There are a lot of things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, but a new episode of The Masked Singer isn’t one of them. This week Fox isn’t airing a new episode of its bonkers singing competition. So when does The Masked Singer return?
Every moment of The Masked Singer is insane. That’s the risk you run when you make a show that revolves around random celebrities dressing up in elaborate animal costumes and singing off against each other. But this season has been extra crazy. Not only have Raven-Symoné and Johnny Weir now appeared on the same show, but iconic performer Patti LaBelle was voted off of a freaking singing competition. Yeah, it’s been nuts. Here’s when you can expect more episodes from Fox’s newfound hit.
Will The Masked Singer Be on Tonight?
You’re going to have to wait a while before you embrace your costumed favorites once more. The Masked Singer is taking a break this Thanksgiving week. Instead of airing a new episode Fox will rerun Episode 7, “Triumph Over Masks.”
Why Isn’t The Masked Singer on Fox?
We don’t know for sure, but we’re guessing it has something to do with the holiday week. Visiting with family and cooking delicious food in preparation for Thanksgiving Thursday takes priority over a man dressed as a dog singing showtunes.
When Will The Masked Singer Be Back?
Don’t worry, your favorite insane reality show won’t be gone for long. The Masked Singer Season 2, Episode 9 “Clash of the Masks” returns next Wednesday, December 4. The new episode will air at The Masked Singer‘s typical time of 8/7c p.m.
Who Was Unmasked on The Masked Singer? Who’s Been Unmasked on The Masked Singer So Far?
Out of this season’s 16 contestants, nine have been unmasked so far. The first two to go were figure skater Johnny Weir (The Egg) and professional gamer Ninja (The Ice Cream) in Episode 1. They were then followed by the unmasking of boxer Laila Ali (The Panda), celebrity doctor Dr. Drew Pinsky (The Eagle), bandleader Paul Schaffer (The Skeleton), comedian Sherri Shepard (The Penguin), actress Raven-Symoné, and singers Kelly Osbourne and Patti LaBelle (The Ladybug and The Flower). Have you noticed the pattern yet? As The Masked Singer Season 2 has progressed its stars have become bigger and bigger.
Ahead of Episode 9 there are still seven celebrities left. We still have no idea who The Tree, Thingamajig, The Rottweiler, The Leopard, The Fox, The Flamingo, and The Butterfly are. But you can bet we will be watching and anxiously guessing until those masks comes off.
