Though she once sang “We Can’t Stop” she’s going to have to at least stop talking.
For the next few weeks it’s more like Miley Silent! More like Hannah Monktana! You want one more? Wait, come back!
Yuks aside, Miley Cyrus is recovering from vocal cord surgery, which would be a big deal for anyone, but is an especially big deal for someone who delights millions with her singing. The surgery was deemed necessary after a tonsillitis procedure last month.
The 26 year-old star is recovering well according to a report in People. Aiding her in her convalescence is the 22 year-old Australian born singer Cody Simpson, who is by her side currently. The pair will need to find something to occupy their time that doesn’t require speaking. It remains unclear if the young lovebirds have access to checkers or chess, or if Miley knows how to sign “king me.”
Recent Instagram vids on both Miley’s and Cody’s pages show the new duo dancing both to Iggy Pop (with The Stooges) and Roy Orbison. The clip below is pre-surgery, however. A squeak of delight like this would currently be a no-no on Miley’s silence regimen.
Fans who need to hear more Miley right now are in luck, however, as her recent collaboration with Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey Don’t Call Me Angel, from the Charlie’s Angels soundtrack, is sure to be in the Elizabeth Banks film somewhere when it is released this Friday.
