After releasing celebratory Rivalry Lows to join in with China’s annual Singles Day festivities, adidas Originals is revamping two of the brand’s most contemporary silhouettes, the ZX Torsion and Torsion X, with new tonal colorways.
The nostalgic ZX model is inspired by adidas’ ZX ‘000 silhouette from the late ’80s and early ’90s. adidas pays homage to its archive of color schemes by offering two colorways that give the shoe an understated, yet tonal look. An upper constructed with mesh and suede sports reflective and embroidered detailing, while a BOOST midsole supports the shoe within an EVA rubber wrap. Torsion’s iconic bar completes the outsole.
For a more fluid aesthetic, the Torsion X is available in a muted purple or gray colorway with branding on the tongue, heel and sockliner. The upper is made up of a knitted textile, structural overlays and a wraparound lacing system. The two tonal colorways contrast with a classic white BOOST midsole and rubber outsole. adidas Originals blends classic adidas aesthetics, archived colors and contemporary styles together to showcase the importance of adidas’ history in pushing new looks forward.

In other news, Nike has released a winterized version of the Air Max 270.
