The “City Pack” nodded to a quintet of basketballs hotbeds located around the continental US — Chicago, Orlando, NYC, Sacramento and Seattle — by crafting five special AJ10s, each with a palette based off the colors of its respective city’s NBA franchise. Although all five are important touchpoints in the history of the model and Jordan Brand’s retro lineage as a whole, the “Seattle” holds a special place among Air Jordan fanatics. This is due to both its recognizable colorway and prior scarcity, as it’s been off the market for 25 years.
From a design standpoint, this recreation is certainly true to the original, although it’s been renamed “Court Green.” A white tumbled leather upper is contrasted with a black midsole, throat and collar, while a black Jumpman on the heel handles a lion’s share of the branding. The SuperSonics-style green accents that provide the shoe with its moniker are also present on the collar’s trim and outsole, bringing some bold contrast to the laundry list of Michael Jordan‘s achievements that runs from heel to toe. A sizeable gold Jumpman on the outsole’s heel completes the look.
The Air Jordan 10 “Seattle/Court Green” will return to Nike SNKRS and select Nike stockists come October 19. The retail price is set at $190 USD.
