A new NFL season means a new installment of America’s Game.
The New England Patriots will feature in this season’s documentary—the 53rd episode of the series—after winning Super Bowl LIII against the Los Angeles Rams in February.
Produced by the NFL Network, America’s Game has become a staple of the NFL season and, as is tradition, this year’s episode will air the night before the NFL campaign kicks off.
Narrated by professional wrestler, actor and Massachusetts native John Cena, America’s Game delves deep into the Patriots’ third Super Bowl title in the last five years. The documentary features in-depth interviews with former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Devin McCourty and Jason McCourty.
America’s Game: 2018 Patriots premieres on Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET after the first airing of another brand new documentary on the six-time Super Bowl champions.
Do Your Job Part III: Bill Belichick and the 2018 Patriots, airing at 8 p.m., ET details the New England Patriots’ journey to a sixth Super Bowl title in franchise history.
Narrated by Morgan Spector, the show features interviews with Patriots head coach Belichick and offensive coordinator/quarterback coach Josh McDaniels. The duo break down the team’s route to a sixth Super Bowl title and share insights on their personal relationship, which dates back to 2001.
Here’s everything you need to know about both documentaries.

What to expect from America’s Game this year
The hour-long documentary narrates the Patriots’ trip to Super Bowl LIII, which culminated with a 13-3 win over the Los Angeles Rams in Atlanta, Georgia.
In the show, Rob Gronkowski discusses his career and impending retirement after the Super Bowl.
The five-time Pro Bowler bowed out on a high, completing a crucial 29-yard reception against the Rams, the final catch of his NFL career.
“I knew the ball was coming to me, and I had a seam route,” the three-time Super Bowl winner explains in the documentary.
“And, boom, I made that motion right at the right time, where only I could go out there and make a play. Tom [Brady] put the ball up right where I could do it, and first down. It was one of the biggest plays of my career.”
Veteran cornerback Jason McCourty opened up on what was arguably the play of the game in the Super Bowl.
In the third quarter, Rams quarterback Jared Goff fired a pass to wide receiver Brandin Cooks who was wide open in the end zone and looked certain to score, only for McCourty to break down the pass with a timely intervention.
Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman, meanwhile, discussed his return from injury and a four-game suspension.
“This was a long year; we weren’t supposed to be here,” he says.
“Everyone thinks we’re going to lose, everyone thinks we’re not good enough, our time’s over. But we’re here, and we’re ready to work.”
