When Trevor Noah caught wind that President Trump had lied about his father’s birthplace, he wasn’t even angry — he was just confused.
Speaking to reporters recently alongside Jens Stoltenberg, the secretary general of NATO, Trump said his father “was German — and born in a very wonderful place in Germany.” In truth, the president’s father, Fred Trump, was born in New York City. Noah had a hard time figuring out why Trump would lie about something like this.
